-------------------------------------------- tsh2dm1: Lost Pillages by: Yanick "tehSandwich" Létourneau Email (at release): iheartwingnuts@gmail.com for: Quake 2 Cafe's 7th Mapping Contest -------------------------------------------- Version: 1.01 (August 3th 2009) Completion Date: July 28th 2009 Release Date: August 16th 2009? Construction Time: 16 days Build: Built using NetRadiant SVN revisions 365 and 389 1274 brushes and 156 entities with Intel Pentium 4 HT @ 3.00GHz and 2.5 Gigs of Ram on Win XP SP3 (main) QBSP3 (by Geoffrey DeWan) 1.09: 2 seconds QVIS3 (same) 1.03: 5.0 seconds ARGHRAD 3.00T9 -extra -bounce 32 -chop 32 -chopcurve 16: 753 seconds R_speeds: 200-900, peaks at 1700. Blame the very open design of the map, inherited from my UT mapping style. Description: It's my first Quake 2 map ever released. I'm originally a Unreal Tournament mapper (known there as CyberSirius) and since those guys dissapeared, i switched to the Quake series. This map is... quite curvy. All of the curves, from a radius of 64u to 256u, comes from a 12 sided cylinder and everything is phong shaded. The texture set used is "cr8" by Speedy (www.cr8.da.ru or speedy.planetquake.gamespy.com) (see his readme), likely converted by Jester for a map from the previous mapping contest. My map should be good for 2vs2 or 3vs3. Comes with matching AAS file for Gladiator bot. Changelog: 1.01: - Added sounds. - Realigned some lights. 1.00: - Tentative Release. Thanks: id Software: for the game and all. Jay Dolan: for Quake2World and giving me a purpose to do a map. Quake II Cafe (and especially X7): for the motivation (the contest). The Touhou Project (A Series of Bullet Hell SHMUPs by Team Shanghai Alice which only consist of a guy nicknamed ZUN): Geek Fuel. Okami and the guys who made it: WONDERFUL Distraction. My PSU fan: Caused me to speed up the build. No Thanks: Osama Bin Laden: in-joke My PSU fan: Noisy and needs replacement. Okami and the guys who made it: Wonderful DISTRACTION. (ahem...) You CAN: Redistribute it for free using digital means, make physical back-ups, put it in a archive - for as long as this readme file, Speedy's copyright file and this archive is left intact. You CANNOT: Redistribute it for money in ANY way. This was a 2375 byte readme file BTW.
