Description: Yggdrasil is the mythical "World Tree" from Norse mythology. It also appears as part of Niven's Ringworld science-fiction universe. Thus, we have large trees floating in space, or in the case of this map, on a rock floating in space. The idea came from an error messaage that QVIS gave me while making my first map intended for the Q2 Cafe 7th Mapping Contest, something about a brush intersecting a leaf. That of course got me thinking about trees. Yggdrasil was the obvious title, and the tree-in-space was the obvious implimentation. I've always wanted to make a tree-house, and Q2 is a good place to do so. Let's face it, we've all wanted to do battle in trees ever since that last Ewok villiage scene in Return of the Jedi :) Spoilers: This map features Yendor's infamous Random-SPitter, as do all my maps to date. In this map is serves to impliment a warp-pad near the base of the tree that will warp you to one of 6 random destinations in the map. Falling off the Tree, or off it's base rock and into outer space, you have about a 40% chance of living. If you live, you will find a warp pad waiting for you far below, which will take you to one of 6 random locations in the map.
